About Me

My name is Alex Creek, I’m from Mexico. I’ve been making music since I was 16 years old. I started playing the drums at 13 back in middle school. I used to play along with my brother in his band, but playing the drums wasn’t it for me, so I started playing guitar when I got in high school.

I wrote my first song called ‘’Eat Me Alive’’ that talked about a nightmare I had. It was a ‘’grunge’’ song, as I was really into Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged. I had bought the CD and just played it nonstop. I haven’t released that yet, but I hope to do it in the future.

My first musical album was called Rosemary’s Project, a self-titled instrumental album that was heavily inspired by the sounds of Nox Arcana, Midnight Syndicate, and Akira Yamaoka. I loved horror stories and creepypastas as a middle schooler and had a really bad YouTube channel dedicated to that. This inspired me to make songs like that, as I would include the songs of these musicians in my videos.

My first finished project turned out to be Silence Awaits, The Sighting, which was a rebranded Rosemary’s Project with changed titles, as the ones I wrote originally were a little bit too grotesque for the sound I was going for.

My second project was Crystal Soul’s – Pink Eclipse, an album that was supposed to be a Synthwave and Lo-Fi album, but it lacked a lot of the typical sounds used in these kinds of projects. I was an amateur, so I learned to use chords in that project. If you pay attention, you’ll see that in ‘’The Sighting,’’ there are a lot of arpeggios, and I mostly avoided using chords because I didn’t understand how to use them.

My third project was called Death & Damnation. It was originally planned to be a part of a D&D campaign but turned out to be my first real approach to making something truly musical. It was 17 songs long.

My fourth project, Feral Nightmares, was recorded in a week while I was feeling really depressed. I recorded this album just to vent and wasn’t really paying attention most of the time. I learned to scream for it, though.

My fifth project, Nowhere, is what I think is the best album I’ve made so far. It’s consistent, filled with feelings, and has some of the best melodies I’ve ever made. I don’t know how I made it, as I finished it in just a few days. The songs have a simple structure so I’m surprised it came out so well.

The sixth project I made is called Repressed Memories. This was actually made before D&D and Feral Nightmares; I just hadn’t mixed it. When I eventually recovered all the files (some of them I thought were gone forever), I discovered it was, along with Nowhere, one of the best creations I had made so far.

The seventh project turned out to be Frame Perfect, which was a collection of songs I made throughout the years. Some of them were originally planned to be part of Pink Eclipse. I don’t think it came out exactly how I wanted it to, but some tracks were good enough to be preserved.

Dark Oasis was my second attempt at making Dark Ambient music, this time with a desert-themed aesthetic and sounds. It didn’t turn out as well as my first attempt, as I was more interested in making synthwave music. This project feels like a transition to whatever is coming next.

Silence Await’s The Dark & Shallow End was a single from an album I gave up on after finishing only two tracks, which are the ones included in the single. I was burnt out by this point, but I think it’s a decent single.

I Wish You Were Here by Alex Creek was a project meant to release the song ‘’Eramos Tan Iguales.’’ I ended up putting more songs in it, even though I was feeling burnt out. This probably wasn’t the way I wanted my first EP to be, but I really wanted the songs out ASAP. Sometimes, you need to take your time. I’ll probably re-release these songs.

Cabeza de Loco by El Arroyo Tropical is just a fun album. I wrote whatever came to mind and had fun making it!

I’ve been working with my brother once more on his project ‘’Neon Angel’’. Go listen to his songs! I help produce them, and what he writes is just as good if not better than what I do!

This is just the start of my musical life. Hope you hear me in the future!
